Celebrating 25 Years of Rehabilitation: MRC Summit 2024

The Medical Rehabilitation Center (MRC), the pioneer of integrated in-patient and daycare multi-disciplinary rehabilitation in Eastern India, marked its 25th anniversary with the prestigious MRC Summit 2024. Held on November 30, 2024 at a five-star hotel in Kolkata, the event highlighted MRC’s commitment to helping patients regain normal functionality after complex surgeries and illnesses.

The summit brought together over 150 medical professionals, including specialists from PMR, rheumatology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and neurology, to discuss advancements in rehabilitation and evidence-based practices. A standout feature of the event was the multi-speciality panel discussion, emphasizing the role of integrated rehabilitation in restoring patients’ quality of life.

MRC, known for its specialized rehabilitation services in rheumatology and neuro-orthopedics, has successfully treated nearly 1.5 lakh patients over the past 25 years. With separate departments for neuro, orthopedic, and rheumatological rehabilitation, the center remains at the forefront of innovation in recovery care.

The event also celebrated MRC’s journey with an inspiring oration detailing its pioneering contributions to rehabilitation. “Our goal is to ensure that patients recover fully and return to the normal rhythm of life,” said Dr. M.M. Ghatak, Founder Incharge & Chief Consultant of MRC.
